Operation Bravo Zulu—A Job Well Done
Hidalgo County is proud to sponsor Operation Bravo Zulu. This program is a way of recognizing those who have served our nation in the United States Armed Forces. We are proud to say Thank you to those men and women for a Job Well Done.
This project offers Honorably Discharged Veterans assistance in the form of utility payments up to $600. Veterans are asked to present their DD-214 (or other US Government issued proof of discharge status) , complete a program application and qualify via income guidelines. As part of the application process, agency staff and veterans complete an assessment that helps to identify areas of concern with regard to health, employment, housing and or education . Once identified these issues ae addressed through in-house case management services or a referral to one of the many partnering agencies.
Operation Bravo Zulu is made possible through a grant from the Texas Veterans’ Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.
