Book Circulation Policy
The Hidalgo County Law Library does not allow the circulation of books to the general public. Most books in the library may be checked out, for 3 business days, by a licensed member of the Hidalgo County Bar, or their assistants (with approval), and Hidalgo County Department Heads.
A local address and phone number must be provided to the librarian prior to removing any books. A book may be checked out for three days, unless otherwise specified on the book label.
Library staff may extend the checkout period, if necessary, provided no other library patron is waiting for the said material. Taking or removing a book from the library which does not circulate or without properly checking it out will be considered theft.
The Law Library has a book reference section. These books are not allowed to be checked out. You may make copies.
